The Fresno Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of having their October mixer at the Fairwinds located on Fort Washington near Friant. It's much much more then a retirement home, it's like a 5 star resort! We all enjoyed a wonderful gourmet food spread prepared by the head Chef which included some wonderful desserts! Anyone who wanted one go, enjoyed a tour to one of the model apartments. They were very spacious with a nice homey feel.
The Fairwinds have many activities for the residents to enjoy. They don't have to leave if they don't want to, and I couldn't imagine why they would want to. They have a bistro and restaurant that is open to the public. Many options for rooms. Some of their services include weekly housekeeping, transportation, automobile services, room service, move-in coordination, recreational programs, personal laundry, personal shopping, pet care, massage therapy, gym membership and morning wake up calls and that is just some of what they do!
