Ribbon Cutting for Apna Urgent Care

Ok...I know what you're thinking....Urgent Care. Urgent Care! This is the last place I want to be,right? This means something bad has happened to you, or worse, a loved one.

Well, after attending their ribbon cutting, I know that if something should go horribly wrong, or if I, or someone I love, is sick and needs immediate care, Apna Urgent Care is EXACTLY where I'd want to be.

The staff is warm and friendly and Dr. Dhaliwal is wonderfully approachable and knowledgeable and explains everything to you in words you can understand. They can do everything right there in his office from the regular office visit to lab testing and x-rays. No having to go around town in a quest to find out what is wrong and going to a lab on the other side of town and then waiting for test results. It is all right there-literally a "one stop shop" for nearly everything from a check-up to colds and flu, allergic reactions or bites and even fractures or burns. Apna Urgent Care even takes care of your Workman's Comp injuries.

They can even see yo if your doctor "can't get yo in until next week" and it will still be covered by your insurance (with a follow-up by your regular primary doctor). They even do flu shots...which I just found out today is covered by most insurances...so I got mine right then and there.

They are conveniently located just off of Highway 99 and Ashlan/Golden State and are open 7 days a week. From any part of Fresno, it's just a few minutes away from freeways 41, 168 or 180. Get off the 99 freeway at the Ashlan Ave. exit and there they are! No more having to go all the way to North Fresno or Clovis. And to save even more time, you can set appointments and fill out your paperwork ONLINE! Go to http://www.apnaurgentcare.com/ and see for yourself.

I would highly recommend going to Apna Urgent Care. They truly care about their patients. Check them our for yourself!

Fresno Chamber Mixer held at Clovis Homewood Suites by Hilton

On Thursday September 16, 2010 the Clovis Homewood Suites by Hilton hosted the monthly mixer for the Fresno Chamber. The Luau theme was fun; there was a variety of gourmet food made by their very own Marcella Gilbert with the Homewood Suites. The Homewood Suites is an all suite property, where every room is equipped with full kitchen, living room, bathroom, and one bedroom suites. The hotel offers amenities such as microwave, stove, full size refrigerator with dish washer, 42” flat screen TV, complimentary hot buffet breakfast, complimentary managers reception in the evening (signature dinner, beer, wine, & assorted beverages), pool, fitness center, putting green, bar-b-que grills, complimentary wireless internet service in all of the suites and public area, complimentary business center, complimentary airport shuttle and destination within a 5 mile radius, onsite laundry facility, and complimentary grocery shopping service. Deke with the Fresno Monsters Hockey came out and mingled with the mixer attendees and was very popular with the ladies. The mixer was very well attended with a variety of different organization representatives, it helped to end my week with a pleasant Mai Tai. For more information on regarding Clovis Homewood Suites, please contact the hotel at 559-292-4004 or visit them online at www.clovis.homewoodsuites.com

You need to check out Avakian Insurance out on Hedges Avenue in Fresno. There, you will be greeted by a friendly staff, and trained professionals that have been in the insurance business for years. They have two locations to serve their customers, one in Fresno, and the other in Orange County in Southern California. Ribbon Cutting Janz Drycleaning

Hey, ya’ll! Janz Drycleaning has opened up a new store! It’s a classy new storefront conveniently located in the Save Mart shopping center on the corner of Bullard and West. This family-run operation already has a reputation for customer service and quality work, as the new location is simply an extension of their 14,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility located downtown.

The Janz brothers and their families welcomed the Fresno Chamber Ambassadors during a ribbon cutting for their new store last week. They shared food and drink and stories of their business beginnings.

Janz Drycleaning has great prices on all common garments such as shirts, pants, suits, etc, but you can also put your faith in them for those special items like wedding gowns, leathers, and furs. Rugs? Done. Uniforms? Done. Comforters, formal wear, curtains? Done. And the best part is… free pick up and delivery!

I encourage you drop by to meet the crew for yourself and discover all the services they have to offer. The new store is located at 2006 W. Bullard Ave. They can be reached at 268-5269, or visit them at www.janzdrycleaning.com!

Ribbon Cutting at Optimal Hospice Care

Optimal Hospice Care joined the Greater Area Fresno Chamber of Commerce yesterday to celebrate the move to their new office with an official ribbon cutting. Optimal Hospice has been a member of the Fresno Chamber for several years. They were joined by members and ambassadors from the Chamber, many people in the community they work with, their Medical Director, co-workers from the Fresno and Visalia office, their CEO, and other visitors from their corporate office in Bakersfield.

The event began with the Chaplain Philip Ensley giving a beautiful opening prayer commencing the occasion. After the ribbon cutting, everyone was able to go inside and mingle and dine on delicious food, watch a slide show that showcased all of the workers, and pick up information about their company.

Hospice is a special way of caring for the terminally ill, and addresses the unique needs of dying patients and their families. Optimal Hospice Care’s Mission Statement is, “As a team, we combine compassion with the art and science of medicine to help patients and families live life to its fullest.” Optimal Hospice Care realizes that each patient is different, and will create a specific plan of care, and adjust it according to the needs of each patient.

We would like to congratulate Optimal Hospice Care on their move. For more information on Optimal Hospice Care, you can visit their website at http://www.optimalcares.com/, or call (559) 320-4000.
