Ribbon Cutting Auntie Anne's Pretzel

On Saturday, June 6 Auntie Anne's celebrated its 1,000th store opening at the Fashion Fair Mall in Fresno and was attended by Ambassadors Bud Solomon, Ron Stumph, Breck Harris and Bob Sabaro. To mark the special occasion, there was a day-long grand opening that include a ribbon cutting, fun activities and delicious pretzels for children and adults alike. The celebration began at 10a.m. with a special "pretzel pulling" (Auntie Anne's twist on ribbon cutting!), and continued throughout the day with free Original and Cinnamon Sugar pretzels, a sweepstakes for the first 1,000 customers in line, appearances by Twistee, Auntie Anne's fun-loving mascot, and pretzel balloon twisting and face painting from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The 1,000th store franchise owner is Pat Costner, who is a native of California and a California State University at Fresno Alumnae. The Auntie Anne's Fresno location is Costner's third store. She owns the Hanford and Visalia locations.
Auntie Anne's Pretzel is the world's largest hand-rolled soft pretzel chain with 1,000 locations. Customers can buy Auntie Anne's products with confidence due to the "Pretzel Perfect Guarantee" which simply states, "We Guarantee You'll Love Your Pretzel Or We'll Replace It With One That You Do." Up to 12 pretzel varieties are available including the Pretzel Dog, a Nathan's Famous hot dog wrapped in pretzel dough, and the new Pepperoni Pretzel. Dipping sauces and a variety of beverages, such as Auntie Anne's signature lemonade, are offered to complement pretzel selections.
