On May 25,2011 the Fresno Chamber had a ribbon cutting for the Best Western Plus Fresno Inn. The Best Western is known as the Word’s Largest Hotel Chain. Each Best Western hotel is independently owned and operated. The hotel is just minutes away from Fresno State, SaveMart Center, and within walking distance from Fashion Fair Mall. The hotel was fully renovated from top to bottom, working their way from the highest floor down to their main lobby area. Fresno Chamber Ambassadors welcomed the new opening of the West Coast Headquarters of Olam. They are a major employer in the Central Valley as part of their continued effort to aggressively expand their operations in California and the West, they opened their West Coast Headquarter in Fresno. Olam International is a leading global integrated supply chain manager and processor of agricultural products and food ingredients, sourcing over 20 products with a direct presence in 64 Countries and supplying them to over 13, 000 customers. The new West Coast Headquarters will handle the marketing for the Spices and Vegetable Ingredients business unit across the U.S. and Worldwide, the Fresno office will be responsible for managing plants in California Nevada and New Mexico and also Manging Olam's Almond and Cotton growing business out of this office.
